Thanks Fran so much for your reply. I'll let you know how I get on. It really helps to be reassured that there are other reasons for all of this that don't necessarily mean the cancer has come back.
It was the oncologist that sent me to the colorectal surgeon, and my breast surgeon didn't bat an eyelid when I told him I was going. So I'll just have to grin and bear it!
