Happy Birthday to me!
Today is my 33rd birthday.
This time a year ago I was freaking out about the giant lump I found in my boob. Happy f*&%king birthday! (And yes I checked, there wasn't one this time round!)
This birthday has been much nicer than the last one. I've had a lovely weekend, chilled out and got ready for my last week of training before I really start WORK! Can't wait.
It's funny - as I was born 3 months early, they weren't sure if I was going to make it, I have a box of letters and cards that people sent mum from when I was born, saying things like, "Hope she pulls through", and, "We are praying for her"...it's a bit eerie thinking about that and the year that has just passed. I can't believe that so much has happened in such a short space of time.
People complain that they are getting older, I'm thrilled that I can add another year! Here's to many more of them! Birthdays aren't scary anymore - they are welcome!
I'm looking forward to catching up with some of the ladies from the Melbournites group tomorrow night for dinner, it's been ages since the last catch up and it will be great to see those there.
I have my next check up in November, hopefully by then I would have lost some weight with the Lite 'n Easy, it's exciting, the meals look just like plane food, and that makes each meal like a little holiday! (I LOVE plane food, seriously!)
