- Annie_CMemberYou are correct @arpie.
My comment was a very much in a ME moment.
Thing is though, since September 2017 and December 2018 I have seen 9 different FIFO doctors at our A&E. I can remember with clarity his derogatory comment but not his name.
It was my GP who organised a consultation with the physician. I cannot help but wonder if the referral was done to shut me up. But this squeaky wheel got what was required.
And that is not a very fair comment about my GP who generally has been supportive. - arpieMember.....I doubt if I will ever see him again. ....
But someone else probably has & also received the wrong diagnosis ..... it really needs to be 'on record'. Not good enough IMHO! xx - Annie_CMember@Sister
Well I would but that particular doctor was one of our fly / in fly out doctors. They are used a lot up here in the Kimberley. Come for 12 weeks from wherever and then bugger off.
We call them "seagulls". You know - fly in, shit all over us and then fly off.
I doubt if I will ever see him again. - SisterMember@"Annie C" Are you going to take your report around to the doctor and wave it under his nose?
What a bitch but at least you know what you're dealing with and now you can work out the management. - iserbrownMemberYeah it's a bitch! You've been dealt a double blow.
Pleased to read you're fighting spirit is there
Best wishes - Annie_CMember@tigerbeth

Thankyou.
I know that with medication and pulmonary rehabilitation I will be fine. The additional medication along with the medication I use for my asthma (which I have had to over 25 years) is helping.
I have sat on the diagnosis for over 2 months. I had lung function tests 2 weeks ago that confirmed the physician's suspicion. It is good to know.
And if I coped with breast cancer I can manage this but bloody hell if it doesn't rain it pours!
C'est la vie. - iserbrownMemberMy Dad suffers from COPD. When he coughs it sounds very asthmatic and like he has lost his breath. He takes medication as required and the Prof keeps him calm. He's coming up to 9 years since diagnosis .
Good management and you'll be under control and enjoying the every day
Take care and hugs - tigerbethMemberOh @"Annie C"I am so sorry to hear that news !😔 So shocking for you , I bet !
Dreadful error of diagnosis by that doctor, hope he is taken to task !
Please look after yourself , as much as I'd love to see you here again you'd better do what they say !
Hope you can get it sorted & you are breathing easy
Hoping for a happier new year for you
many hugs xx
