Glad I found this post! I had small lumpectomy 9oclock position 3 weeks ago and one lymph node removed. Everytime I drink a cold drink the first few swollows I feel it cold in the boob where the lumpectomy was, it feels so weird.
- khill72MemberOmg yes! Weirdest sensation
- CoastiejasMemberHi @Caseypinto
Yep I had that weird sensation too after my lumpectomy and axillary clearance, every time I had a cold drink it felt like it was running down my chest / breast. I think it's nerve related after the surgery. Good news is it did go away for me after a little while.
Best wishes for your treatment.- AlieshaMember

- JLumbMemberI'm glad I found this post! I had a single mastectomy 6 weeks ago, and am finding the same thing! Glad it is common!
- krystelMemberI'm so glad I found this post. I thought I was going crazy. Just had a double masectomy, no reconstruction yet. Everything I drink that is room temperature or cold I can feel traveling down my chest. So strange. I was freaking out, but seems I'm not alone so reassuring.
- primekMemberYep. But less over time.
- CaseypintoMemberYes @primek I get that feeling as well! I quite like that feeling too. Just glad to hear it's normal. So you get the cold drink feeling as well? Thank you for answering xx
- primekMemberIt's common. It still feels like my nipples are contracting (and they are clearly not there). I get it when I just get cold also. I believe some women find it painful. I kinda like the feeling that my my mind still feels my breasts are there.
