Amazing

while currently waiting to start chemo, I thought I would get organised and book myself into the wig library run by the cancer council here in WA.

i can honestly say what a fabulous service. I was seen to by a lovely lady called Jackie who sat with me for an hour and went through many different wigs and hats and scarves. She knew exactly what would suit me. In fact I was blown away with my new wig. I know I have tough times ahead but with Jackies help I will feel confident to get out and about when I am able.

    Hi Lindy,

    That's great news about the wig library.  So reassuring.  I've just started chemo the other day.  Also, I went to the hairdresser to give me a nice short pixie style cut instead of my usual shoulder length.  I'd had this hairstyle before so I was prepared with how it would look.  Just to make it easier for when it does fall out.  

    At my next chemo treatment, I'm going to investigate their wig library that they have.  One of the nurses was raving about it. (she actually used the service herself for her own breast cancer chemo last year)  

    We are so fortunate to have this lovely support.  All the best for your treatment.

    That's fantastic Lindy, it does make a difference when you're all ready for hair loss. People are wonderful aren't they, and there is a lot of support out there. You'll look magnificent, Tracey B ??

    Hi, that's great news. Back when I was on chemo, I went to the Caner Council in Qld and received the same great service. The volunteer who sat with me was so kind and patient. We are so lucky, aren't we? Hope your treatment goes well, take care,
