99 Year Old Breast Cancer Survivor
Whilst in the hospital on the weekend, I was in Emergency next to a spritely 99 year old lady (she turns 100 in two weeks) who is a breast cancer survivor. Still lives by herself and does all of her ...
My mum had breast cancer 27 years ago ... Had one radical mastectomy with lymph node removal and at her 6 month checkup it was found in the other side so the process was repeated.... She is still going strong... She is also pleased things have advanced so much that I have more choices, and there is greater support.
Her experience in part contributed to my decision to have a bilateral mastectomy....
