My mum had breast cancer 27 years ago ... Had one radical mastectomy with lymph node removal and at her 6 month checkup it was found in the other side so the process was repeated.... She is still going strong... She is also pleased things have advanced so much that I have more choices, and there is greater support.
Her experience in part contributed to my decision to have a bilateral mastectomy....
