Today it is 5 years since my diagnosis of breast cancer. I would rather have missed that experience, but I'm pleased to say I have managed to get through it all.

I stopped the Aromasin. I remember when i was going through radiotherapy, some women told me they had stopped the medication and I was horrified. Now i understand.I dont want to discourage anyone from taking the drug, but I just wish it could be adjusted to suit an individual, it was way to strong for me. Now I walk to the bus, eat well, a bit of everything, no fads, but lots of veges, no sugar.
Eat well and keep moving- thats my maintenance program.
My darling daughter took me on a whirlwind 21/2 week trip to London, Lille, Paris, Bacelona , Florence and Rome. I'm still working 5 days a week to pay it off, but I can highly recommend travel, even if it is just a weekend away; to sooth your soul and put things in perspective.
Best wisheds to everyone dealing with this pesky nusiance- it turns your life upside down, but sometimes you find a better life there.
