On December 23, 2013 I reached a five-year milestone since my diagnosis of IBC. I was not given a good prognosis - my doctor now says he didn't think I would be still here to celebrate...

I was diagnosed with IBC, already in lympth nodes, Her2 +, Stage 3+ on 5 Sept 2012, the fight was on and have been through the toughest of treatment since then. My last Herceptin was yesterday and success so far. My heart and body have responded beyond my expectations. There is so little research on IBC on what happens now my "lifeline" ie friend in Herceptin has come to an end, I feel obvious apprehension and fear as to the future. Your message has given me hope just when I needed it. Love and well wishes for 2014 and many years to come. Never say Never.
