12 months on....

Melbourne Cup day last year I was having my first chemo - scared, sad, anxious of the future; feelings we have all know so well after a cancer diagnosis!

Wow! What a different Melbourne Cup I had this year! I really wanted to share it with my friends, celebrate in style and let go of the past year.

My horse came first....and I won "Fashions on the Field"! I never  thought that could happen with my chemo curls and one less breast...but I guess it can!

Don't mean to be blowing my own trumpet.....just wanted to share the fact that we are not ready to be disgarded on the scrap heap after our breast cancer diagnoses or the treatments we have to endure!

Smell the roses everyday...and appreciate what we have despite our battle scars!

    How inspiring to look and feel so great after all that you have been through. Having BC and enduring all the treatment certainly does not mean we can not feel and look beautiful again. What an amazing day you had. Thanks for sharing your wins with us! :)) Deanne xxx
