Zoledronic acid
Just wondering if anyone has been on it for preventative secondaries in bone and how it affected them

Hi @Jazzer, the recommendation is to have all dental work done prior to starting Zoledronic treatment. They should have emphasised how important this is.
However, in saying that, I did have a wisdom tooth removed by a Dental Specialist a few mths ago. The Specialist advised that as long as there was a 6 week break between having a tooth removed and having the Zoledronic treatment AND that the gum had completely healed, then it was ok. It’s just a matter of being carefully monitored.
They don’t encourage having it done during treatment but if it’s urgent and has to be done, then it can be done.
