Had them when first diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer as the Tamoxifin didn't work for me any more. They don't hurt. Used ice packs for about 5-10mins before hand. Usually not a problem, plus don't need a second injection & it saves time & usually reduces any chance of bruising. I would get an ice pack when the staff where starting to get ready for me & by the time they were organised, drug checked etc, I was ready & had it either sitting or lying (nurse's preference) & then went home. I do tend to bleed a little, so always had a covering put over injection site. Didn't once & had stained undies :/
