Worms after chemo?

My hubby came home with some Vermox to worm the family but I said I wouldn't be needing it this time. I am thinking after all that chemo treatment no self respecting worm would be still alive in my body. What's everyone else think?

  • ROFL.. Oncology teams or worms ? ????????????????

Sorry Kath but your response had me just about peeing my pants laughing as I thought of the old goat treating me and immediately saw him surviving a nuclear blast....

    Jel...

  • Lol...ask the oncology team I think. They probably survive nuclear blasts also.

  • If U have a reason to suspect family may have worms may as well take the treatment - just in case some stubborn bugger made it through Chemo... or in case you became infected once toxins were out of your GI tract...

Some of the gut bacteria survives Chemo so chance is there is a very resistant worm somewhere out there too.

  • Hi Brenda....

I had a saving going thru my treatments....

    we were on septic tanks....

any worms still alive  couldn't taste had no hair and because they put me on some anti depressants at one point they didn't give a * either......

I think like Socoda that all our chemo would of knocked them off their blocks and sent them packing at a fast trot ...

Check with your Oncology nurses if you  need some reassurance.

    Take care alice

  • Hi Brenda,

I reckon you would be spot on. However if it had have been Combantrin I would have had it just because of the chocolate squares :-) Xx Cath
