Woohoo - Go, You!! Thank goodness the worst bit is finally over :-). When do you start rads? I have my final week starting tomorrow.... 15 down and 5 to go. I have fared very well with no fatigue at all - in fact, I've been back to hill walking for a month now and today I had a 3hr mountain bush walk with friends - its so nice to feel almost normal! I am hoping the delayed reactions don't get too bad. I have been faithfully applying my "RadX" cream four times a day - starting in the change room immediately after a zap - and my skin is good. I'm just starting to get little blisters now. The tricky thing is finding clothes loose enough to let me get away with not wearing a bra. For the first time in my life, I'm grateful I have small boobs ;-p. Nice to hear you are enjoying some outside time - I love chickens! I miss having a large enough garden to keep some. I just know you're going to feel better every day from here... Looking forward to hearing about it :-)

I've done it - no more chemo !!!! yayyy!!!!

Waiting to start radio but I'm not frightened about that.

I have been spedning sunny days in the garden , planting out veg , talking to the chickens. It's lovely. Letting the sun hit my scalp, gotta be good for you.

Thanks for your good vibes, I feel them, they've helped lots.

Last one next Tuesday Oct 16th. Feeling so low right now, no idea why especially. A little nervous about radiation, and there's that little voice in my head saying "I can't do it anymore". I'm horrified at the thought of a recurrence, I can't shake that at the moment either.

Lost my mojo right now.  All the courage and confidence has evaporated. Need to get that back.

Chin up, MagicMum! I'm sending all my best good vibes to you. I can just imagine what you're going through - I was so happy to finish my chemo at number 4 and still feel the effects now.... all I can say is that I can feel myself getting better and stronger every day that I put between me and that last dose... you will, too! Just one more. What date is it? I need to know so I can light a white candle and send all my best wishes to you for that first week. Meanwhile - sleep, eat chocolate and let yourself lie about without guilt - you can make up for it next year :-D that's my plan!

I just read that bit about being positive - not today. My 5th round of chemo has really knocked the stuffing out of me. I just haven't got the energy to do ANYTHING. I know it doesn't matter but it's really done a number on confidence too. Ihave only 1 round to go, but I'm now dreading that, maybe I'll have 3 weeks of feeling like a sloth.  My husband tells me not to worry, just lie aorund it doesn't matter. He's really supportive - I know that I'm lucky.

I just read that bit about being positive - not today. My 5th round of chemo has really knocked the stuffing out of me. I just haven't got the energy to do ANYTHING. I know it doesn't matter but it's really done a number on confidence too. Ihave only 1 round to go, but I'm now dreading that, maybe I'll have 3 weeks of feeling like a sloth.  My husband tells me not to worry, just lie aorund it doesn't matter. He's really supportive - I know that I'm lucky.

It's a good one isn't it - I try to say it to myself when the wobblies in my head appear.

I have been so very lucky, my treatment is going fine. I am VERY tired and the digestive system is pretty screwed up but that's nothing compared to some others. So I count my blessings, eat chocolate if I feel like it, or Maccas fries even !  And push on to the next. Only 2 chemos to go and then radio - I hope to have that done before xmas so I can releax and celebrate. Still the year on Herceptin and starting on hormone therapy but that will be easy peasy I hope after this lot.

I send you all my good positive vibes. I'm refusing to benegative, and my doc says it's working !

Found your words just when I need them, thanks  :-)  Just having a bit of a crap day today and its not even 8am yet! Its my sister's birthday today and I need to pull myself together, make the decision between wig or turban, quell the stomach ulcers and meet her for lunch.... I'm sure I will feel much better once I'm out but sometimes its a bit difficult to maintain that strength... there was a time in my 30's that life made for some big challenges and people who knew me back then asked - where did you get the strength? That quote sums it up exactly - when you need it, strength just comes. I am so grateful for that!
