I have just had my first Mammagram since they discovered my lump in Mar 2012 (and all the treatment and everything that comes with the diagnosis now completed).
Here I am, once again, awaiting my results from the Oncologist on Wed 16th Jan and it got me wondering how many more folk on this board are sitting in the Waiting Room with me.

My surgeon and BC nurse both went on holidays the day of my surgery, lucky me.
I could have had the results sent to my GP but I would have had no treatment plan.
I made the choice to wait till my doctor was back from leave and when I meet with her on Tuesday I also see the Oncologist and the radiographer, so results and treatment plan all together.
It was just really poor timing on my part, I live in the Bayside area of Melbourne so its city.
Donna, I can really understand how you feel...but a bit shocked you have to wait so long for these results. Usually they're back in a week. Can I ask if you're being treated in a city hospital, or a regional centre?

HI,
I am in the waiting room and have been since December 14th waiting for my pathology results from my wide excision and lypmth node biospy. I have tried very hard over the christmas/new year break to not think about it, but as my appointment (this Tuesday) draws close I am gettign jumpy.

Hi Trina ... Try not to dwell on it untill the time comes and perhaps make your Mammogram appointment very close to your Oncologist Appointment not like me 12days before. Ann

Hi Ann... I'm trying not to think to much about it.. but my next (or first lot since surgery, chemo and radiation) are not until April.... when I think too much I get anxious which is silly, considering it's unlikey at this early stage it's come back... I hope not anyway...
So I guess I'm about to join the 2013 waiting room!!
