What's good for your soul?

Amy Patterson from Texas in the U.S. needed to get to the hospital for her double mastectomy as she fights stage 3 breast cancer.  Amy loves motorcycles, she even loves the sound of them, but she hadn't been on one in years. Her husband put out a call to bikers who would be willing to escort their car. More than 50 turned up and even the local police stopped traffic for them.

"As loud as it was it was so peaceful to me," Amy told the local news. "You know, it was just good for my soul, and a beautiful day so I couldn't be happier, and the turnout just unbelievable, truly unbelievable. I can't believe these people, and turning around and looking at the line behind me...is massive."

Look at that smile.

    Art is good for my soul, it's my therapy...

    but while I am healing from darn "cording" in my right arm, ilisten to music, read my angel cards and meditate...

    Ooh I love the deep broom of those bikes. I haven't been on one since a teenager as a passenger but I still love hearing the bikes go past and seeing all the shiny chrome all polished up on them. Anyone ever ridden in one of those trike ones?

    For me, of recent years it has been paddling. I bought myself a kayak a couple of years ago, being out on our local lakes gives me a sense of peace. Haven't paddled this summer - haven't worked out if I can get the kayak onto my car, let alone the  paddles Ng for any length of time, but I will get there! 

    What a great thing to happen for Amy. Hearing stories like that restore your faith in humanity.

    Yes Amy!

    There is something about being on a motorcycle that is good for clearing the "cobwebs" out of your head and soothes your soul for sure! I haven't been for a ride for a while and was going to get my licence this year, but BC has put that on hold....What a beautiful thing for your hubby to do, the smile on you face says it all!
