This may be very individual! The conventional advice is to try spicier foods so you can taste something. Didn't work at all for me. I could taste and enjoy salad (lettuce, tomato, cucumber), eggs almost any way, avocado and banana. Couldn't really taste much else. None of the above are exactly highly flavoured. Cooked meat, vegetables were hopeless. As it was late summer, early autumn when I had the problem salads were fine, bit less so if you are enjoying the temperatures in southern Australia! Trial and error I am afraid is what's required. Take heart, taste buds will come back.
