What a week!
Hi one and all,
Yes I have recovered (well apart from still very little hair, skin rashes and tiredness!) from chemo and was pronounced fit enough to begin radiation this week. First session was Monday and all has gone well - in fact my treatment has been the easy part of the week!
I 'raced' back Monday to take my mother to an appointment with surgeon where our suspicions were confirmed - she has Hodgkins Lymphoma and so about the same time as her 90th birthday next month she will probably have to embark on 6 weeks of radiation!
Unfortunately I'll just be finishing as she's starting and won't be fit enough my radiation oncologist tells me to drive her to treatment. I don't want to send her on a bus on her own.
Then the day finished up with us receiving word that my eldest sister is near the end of her battle with cancer - days only was the doctor's words. I'm so pleased we made the trip to see her for the weekend before my last chemo but would love to be able to go again but not looking promising.
Yes I've had a huge cry or few and am not sleeping very well! Needed to share and am hoping it might help.
Enough said - I hope you are all travelling as well as possible. I do think about fellow pink ladies often.
Take very good care of yourself everyone,
Dette xx
