Hi Debza
I had a lumpectomy, chemo and radiation 2 years ago and now am dealing with local recurrence which has a symptom of redness and inflammation which was what I noticed that warranted me getting it checked out straight away.
It's a bit overwhelming right now but I will soldier on as we all do. Not prepared to just give in to it.
Onc tells me that there is not a strong family history with me and mum as she was diagnosed at 76 with a first breast cancer so more likely that this would have happened sooner if it was Gene related. Onc says it won't change my treatment plan at this point so it's not necessary. We will look at it further down the track.
