- Leah79MemberI have just started having lie vitamin d and bruising easily.
- Hi Kath, I have been taking a compounding prescription for the last couple of years - 20,000 ic per week in one capsule.
Despite living in sunny Queensland I work indoors all week and protect my fair skin outside. I have some loss of bone density in my hip so this was recommended. My GP believed it would also help counteract the joint pain side effect of Arimidex. Not sure if this is the case but 2 months in and I don't have any pain. all the best, Jane :) - primekMemberThis article is interesting.

- JanineGMemberHi Kath. A healthy adult needs 1000iu daily. However if you work indoors like I do for daylight hours and use sunscreen(sensibly), then the latest recomendations are 2000iu daily for the winter/ Autumn months, 1000iu Spring/ Summer. When you have low levels it can take months for them to climb. The only way to know if you need to continue such high dose age is a regular blood test. Don't drop it until you have new bloods. Your GP will know.
