Testing of lymph nodes after chemo
Hi, ive spoken to surgeon and she suggests full axillery lymph node clearance. when I questioned why sentinel nodes not being tested first to see if they are clear, she said after chemo the patholo...
I had chemo before bilateral mastectomy surgery. They did sentinel node biopsies on both sides. One side had two nodes taken which are both positive and the other side they took one which is negative. It would be interesting to know if chemo can affect the results.
