That's a great question, one I'd be interested to hear the answer to. I had sentinel node but was pre chemo. Sentinel node has been huge in reducing lymphedema., although you can still get it with even one node out. Unfortunately had a recurrence and more nodes out and radiation and did get it. Make sure you take care of your arm, do exercises and treat any bites, cuts promptly. Good luck with your surgery.
