tears today

Whenever I am posting on here I always try to contribute in a constructive way..but not today, sorry people :(

I have just learn't this morning that a beautiful little boy has been diagnosed with soft tissue cancer (he is 7 and a mate of our boys) and the parents were just told last night that it is also in his bones. They are such a gorgeous family who have supported us throughout our turns and twists and we soooo want to be there for them. They are just devastated.

Apart from this family, there has been another lady diagnosed with advanced cancer about 3 months ago and she is nearing her end days right now-so very quick-she is a beautiful woman who was the kinder assistant for many years (and for our boys too). Her and hubby were planning to retire at the end of the year, so sad-her family are not coping well either.

While i am in the middle of a chemo pill cycle and feeling exhausted, un-productive and emotional i feel like i just want to cry all day. I am sooooo over it all

Cancer just fukn SUCKS

  • I have no words to share but seems you have been given some great words of wisdom and guidance from our pink sisters here.

Shedding some tears with you - it's just not right is it.

  • It feels so much more unfair when a child gets cancer and has to go through what we have.I was very sad reading your blog-sad for those families and sad for you Sam because you are still going through it yourself.I've given up trying to figure out why cancer happens to the nicest people.Seems like shit just happens and you just have to deal with it the best you can.Look after yourself Sam,thinking of you.

  • Hey Sam -- biggest hugs to you and your friends.  Sometimes it just seems like one thing after the next, doesn't it?  Don't ever hesitate to vent here if you're sad or having a bad day -- always good to let it out.

  • thanx so much girls...feeling much better today. Think it all hit me for six and got on top of me yesterday. Seems so unfair that a gorgeous little boy has to deal with stage 4 cancer. At least I had 40 good years b4 i was diagnosed, found love, had children, enjoyed a career (several over that time), made good friends.

We live in a fairly small rural community and many of us are so close and of course our children all school together. I told my boys this morning about their little mate. Lewis couldn't look at me-he understands way more than a 7 year old should, so he knows what Bailey is in for (chemo etc) and Max just goes with the flow-didn't say anything, but i am sure he is digesting it in his own little brain.

There is so much sadness in our community at the moment, but today is a new day and i have a renewed energy, may even get more done!

Hope you all are going well..and thanx again for allowing me to vent my emotions, it's great to have a site in which i can safely do that
