Hi! I had 4 AC and am now up to dose 4 of 12 taxol. I’m finding the taxol much easier. I have had hardly any side effects at all so far other than achy feet later in the week, but it’s not bad at all. I hope you find it as easy as I have.
I’m up to dose 8 of paclitaxol. No reactions. Not feeling overtly fatigued. Some body aches on day 3. I exercise 6 daysbper week again. Sleeping super well. No nausea/reflux.
Dears, I just completed 2 cycles of Weekly Taxol treatment and the 3rd one is due this Friday. I am feeling a bit tired, have little inflammation in my throat and body aches (shoulder and upper back). Guess these are normal side effects of Taxol. Is Panadeine better than Panadol for the body aches? Also is there any medication for the Throat Inflammation?
I am using Cold gloves for hands and feet during the taxol infusion. Besides this, any medication to avoid neuropathy?
Hi @Spiv1803, I think you'll find the Taxol much 'kinder' than the ac. Most people seem to tolerate it really well. I had the option to change to weekly taxol during the last part of my chemo - wish I had - three weekly Docetaxel was brutal. All the best. Xx
Hi there I had TNBC had 4 rounds of AC and 4 of paclitaxol is that the same as you’re having? It was a bit better than the AC still had the fatigue and got the joint pain day 3 but I also had the neulasta injections which gave me joint pAin too. I found warm baths with the Egyptian bath milk from the body shop helped me heaps along with exercise. I didn’t feel like exercising believe me but felt better once I got up and moving. Took panadol osteo which helped too. The constipation wasn’t as bad either but I got terrible reflux with the taxol but also got that sorted with high doses of nexium. Good luck with it. Biggest hug. Margie xx
