Hi there @jane84 , My big toe on the left, not the one that came off, but very chalky, twice formed a pocket of pus on the side of the nail. Antibiotics for double cycles twice and that was very yucky, but as I have severe peripheral neuropathy in my lower legs, as well as fingers, I never felt actual pain in my toes. My fingers were very sensitive, however, the slightest tap, on say the kitchen counter when cooking, felt as if I had slammed the finger in a door. A sharp and then throbbing pain. Scratching myself was also very uncomfortable, felt as if sharp bits were being pushed under the nails. The fingers resolved from that painful state within a month of finishing the Taxol, but the discolouration and ridging took about six months to grow out completely. Still have the weird middle finger nail as mentioned above. Toenails still look like crap, very embarrassing to wear sandals or going swimming. I always feel the urge to reassure others that I don't have some feral fungal infection!!
