  • Hi Merylee I don't have any tatts but I can understand exactly why you want one. Can't help you out with what or where but good luck and have fun designing something. Ann-Marie xx

  • PS: The wrist is by far one of the worst areas to heal........and tattooing over the tendons is not an overly pleasent experience, the pain was almost comparable with getting your elbow tattooed.

  • Hey Kathy,

Body image is not important to me at all... I'm happily married , might have felt differently if I was still dating or something.

I just want a tattoo to symbalise my journey. i never wanted a tattoo b4 because its a commitment for life. but i already have to live with this for the rest of my life. so ehhhh.... and i dont think i would put it over a scar at this stage i dont have any small scars. :(

  • hi sam,

no tatts here, but i have lots of lumps and bumps and scars.

if it helps you with your journey, then go for it.

i am comfortable/ accepting of my body now, but it took a few years.

i can empathise that you being young ( under 30 ) body image is more important perhaps?

at 42, body image was important to me.

now at 55, it is important, but surviving and trying to keep healthy as my body ages is what i am after more.

how about on side of chest, near underarm for the tattoo? you are thinking of putting it over a scar?

     all the best,

    Kathy.OOXX.

  • yeah also like the idea of putting it over a scar.

I want it to be visible at times, but not like on my wrist or anything because i work in customer service and im afraid customers will notice and bring it up. I dont really feel that comtable with strangers always knowing. my friend suggested maybe the wrist but put a watch over it at work :)

  • BCNA gave us some "stick on" pink lady tats in our sample bag at the Summit.  I am going to use one of them as a test.  I would like to have the "pink lady" tattoed on my ankle maybe.  I like Sherone's idea of covering over the portocath scar - I have to wait a while to get mine out though and I might get impatient.XLeonie

  • Yep, the one in my profile pic...it's a pink ribbon that looks like it's been pinned on, it's on the inside of my forearm between my wrist and elbow...
