Hi Sophie,
I started taking Tamoxifen just over a week ago. I am taking my at night, after dinner with a glass of water. So far, so good. I really haven't had any side effects. Good luck. Sally xx
I take mine in the morning, I take a few lots of medication so its easy to do it at that time.
In the first couple of weeks I had terrible nausea so if you have any meds for that keep them handy, that waned and now its just the flushes. For that I wear layed clothing, I sleep with a pedestal fan on me and have a little hand fan at work on my desk.
Good luck with it all.
Donna
My oncologist suggested I "eased"onto Tamoxifen by taking a quarter of a tab for a few days then half a tab for a week then onto the full tablet. There are many brands of Tamoxifen but I found "Genox"brand to be the most agreeable for me.Once I tried another brand and I came out in a face rash and had a bad headache. Good luck, Tonya xx

Hi,
I take mine in the morning as for me I am more likely to remember. I do set a reminder on my phone just to make sure that I remember.

I take it at night but others who take it in the morning have just as few side effects so it probably does not really matter. I did have some nausea initially (1st week) but this settled. I think being anxious probably made this a bit worse but it is hard not to worry when starting something different.
Touch wood I have had very few side effects but I truly think the exercise helps with this. If I cannot exercise even for one day my mood just plunges, I get more tired and notice more aches and pains! Good luck with it. Deanne xxx
