Tamoxifen tablets

Hi i will be starting these after my chemo and Radiotherapy im just wondering if any ladies are on these and any side effects.it will be quite some time before i start.
  • @barney74 honestly, not even worth worrying about at this point, I was on Tamoxifen for 4yrs with zero side effects, and i mean nothing at all. 2nd diagnosis and post chemo however I was put on Arimidex and the thing is it's hard to say what the side effects are from, im guessing a combination of chemo, the medication and menopause. Im now on Aromasin but I promise, a little stiff but no big deal, doesn't stop me doing anything at all :) Once I was post chemo, I started Vitamin D and I take a scoop of magnesium in water daily, as it services over 300 enzymes in your body at a cell level and helps with pain. One step at a time xxx Melinda xo
  • We all react differently.
I'm on Tamoxifen as well as other meds and I don't suffer hot flushes.  I suffer joint and bone pain but that doesn't mean Tamoxifen is the culprit, it could be the other meds or a combination of both, who knows!  What I do know is you need to find a happy medium, including time of day that you take it.  You'll be fine - I suggest that you settle into one brand and don't swap from a generic to another as the body needs to adjust to the routine.  Take care
  • It's enough to just focus on chemo first. Each step is something different and when thought of all together it seems insurmountable but broken in to steps and when going is tough, down to getting through each day you will get there in the end. Tamoxifen is just fine for some with very little side effects which go away after a few month and some like me who is drug sensitive it plays havoc but I stay on it and as time marches on I am getting through it. The most obvious side effect is hot sweats which even if you are in menopause seem to intensify them through Tamoxifen. You can take supplements like magnesium and D3 vitamins for bone aches which help. Hugz <3
