Stop & Rest

I always find the first day I am 'up' after chemo I want to get everything done all at once which of course results in me completely exhausted by that afternoon and the following day! Although I know I should just chill I find it extremely hard as I was so independant before i got BC & although my husband and children do a great job cleaning the house etc.. it's just not 'my clean'. Or I feel like I havent spent any quailty time with my kids chemo week so really want to make up for it before I am hit with chemo again!

Anyway writing this post has made me sit for 10 ;)

Love & Light xx

  • For me,it was the Dexamethasone for a couple of days after chemo, that kept me 'up'.Probably the only time in my life when I will experience steroids! ;) It is also hard to let go of some of the house responsibilities, especially when you have your own ways of doing things. It was like this in the beginning ,but as my husband explained to me,to let him do most of the housework, made him feel that he was doing all he could to help me.Its hard, but if we can,we need to remember that it's hard for the other members of the household too,in a different way.I think also, that you get I to a routine after a while.Take care.Cheers Robyn.xoxo
  • Robyn you are so right! I know my husband has had a hard time deialing with everything because he feels like there is nothing he can do to help me and make me better.. Is it just house work and it really doesn't matter if it's not 'my clean' so ill make a bigger effort to just leave things and let others help out. Thank you xxx
