So much for good vibes. Scan day sucked . They've called me back.
This may come out not making sense as I am somewhere in between being scared shitless and f*/#&%g furious.
So after the mammogram and u/sound the doctor popped her head in (obviously they could see I was starting to freak out) and said there was no changes to last years scans. Gave me a smile and said goodbye. Phew.
I was feeling quite positive after that until the receptionist rang and said I needed to come back for another targeted ultra sound as the MRI had picked up something. The other two hadn't, yet again!
Oh and the doctor wanted me to go tomorrow and follow her to their other facility as she is only in Ipswich on Thursdays and wanted to talk to me.
So my head is in a mess and the tears are starting, my heart is pounding and I've got the shakes.
I don't know if I can do all that again. I know I am over thinking and not to freak out totally before I know for sure. But FAAARRRKKK this shit,

- arpieMemberBIG hugs coming your way @kezmusc. All the best for the CT .... it is all a worry. We've just gotta do what we've gotta do for our own security. If you need the MRI biopsy or 'take it out' .... I wish you all the best there, too. xx
@"Annie C" - oh dear .... 2L of water on a long bouncy drive ..... GOOD LUCK - hope you make it without a sudden roadside pitstop!! (I've done a few of those when in the kayak! LOL Not a good look! ;) Clambering thru the mangroves - no crocs tho! - to find a tree to hide behind!) Have they got a Spotlight there as well? Usually a bit of fun there, too!! Mind you, I'd just be doing all the 2nd hand shops! I'm a Junk Shopaholic! HELP!!! ;)
All the best go both of you xxxx

Will be thinking of you next Thursday for your CT Scan.
I have one on Wednesday 19 Sept in Broome (220 kms) on my lungs and liver. Given instructions to drink 2 litres of water. The medical boffins obviously do not know how many toilets there aren't between Derby and Broome. No big trees either. And a 3 hour drive. God I am going to be busting.
God knows what they will find - probably S O L (s**t on liver), I am cranky enough. Not my idea of an enjoyable day out in Broome. However afterwards will hit the shops and spend spend spend. Highlight of a shopping trip to Broome - Target and Bunnings!
Sending you hugs and very very warm Kimberley wishes to you.
Annie - onemargieMemberHey there @kezmusc. Trust your guts. Do what’s right for you. have you thought about just getting the bloody thing out anyway? With getting it removed you’d get it out and get a result anyway and that could make you feel better and give you piece of mind do you think ? But on the other hand if you’re all good with the biopsy that’s totally ok too and it’s not surgery either is it. We will all support you no matter what. Keep us posted. Big hug. Margie. Xx
- kezmuscMemberThank you @SoldierCrab
- SoldierCrabMemberHi Kezmusc you are not sticking your head in the sand you are using a good strategy to get through this time....
Hugs girl and sending you energy to sit this stuff out....
Soldiercrab - kezmuscMemberUpdate on the scan thing. I met with my new surgeon. She seems lovely, very thorough, empathetic but straight down the line. All good traits I think.
The general consensus is they have no idea what the MRI has picked up. The radiologist kicked the ball to her to make the final decision. She says she is a surgeon and isn't a specialist in reading radiology reports and does not dabble in other specialties. Fair enough comment I guess.
She will call the two radiologist doctors and have a discussion as to which way to proceed.
So right now I have a big fat inconclusive.
Next stop Ct next Thursday to check everything else and the chronic pain in my lower back and hip and then see what they think. If there is no definitive answer it will be MRI guided biopsy. Does not sound pleasant as apparently it has to be done in the MRI machine and yippee the thing is smack bang right under the nipple. We all know how big those core biopsy needles are. OUCH!
So I am stuck in limbo land but am choosing not to worry about it at the moment. Sticking my head in the sand. Blah! - kitkatbMember@kezmus I'm with primek behind on the thread holding my breath as I'm reading. Thank FUCK. You are so right we might not know each other but we sure are there for each other when we need it. I've been a while offline going through this chemo nightmare but its good to come back on and see everyone here when we all need it most. So glad things worked out. xox
