Going somewhere else won't speed things up at this time of year, but I think you are doing the right thing. They have pissed you off so royally that your relationship with them is irreparably damaged and if they think that you, and your wallet, will turn up when they get their act together it would be nice to prove them wrong. These companies believe they will always have customers, there seems to be very little incentive to improve services. Tell them to jam it.
