Ha! I just had a call from Centrelink. It would seem that I was given entirely the wrong information on Friday. Completely wrong. So, after stressing for 3 days, I can stop. It appears that my requirement to work has been assessed as voluntary until June next year and I most certainly should not have been told that if I didn't pick up my game I'd be in the shit. The letter I was given is 'inappropriate for your circumstances'. Hopefully by the time I need to be reassessed I will no longer need them.
What a relief and how nice to be on the receiving end of what appeared to be a genuine apology. I know, never smile at a crocodile, but still...
So, that's two of the three of us who have had our grievances listened to. Hopefully arpie will get some resolution too.
