That is disgraceful, @kezmusc - as @"Annie C" said - there is a time & place for this when they have their tea break, not when half clothed patients are sitting in sight of everyone, waiting to be treated. As you say, anyone starting out on their scans would be a howling mess - and it is just not good enough. I reckon you should have got your phone out & start recording ...... just saying' ;) They are being paid, after all, to look after you!
I-Med is the mob who've just taken over the Radiology dept contract at Port Macquarie Base Hospital ...... they are only ever as good as their staff .... so only time will tell how professional THEY are! (tho my stuff will be off the hospital grounds.)
@"Annie C" - OMG - you've been mucked around & stuffed up SO MUCH this year - that is also unacceptable! It has happened to me before at Breastscreen too - tho I stood my ground & was seen that day, even tho it is only a 1/2hr drive from here.
Yep - Centrelink are a SUCH pain in the arse, too, @Zoffiel - and that is an absolute disgrace to happen to you in full view & hearing of them. I hope you are able to get the big guns out to go into battle on your behalf! grrrr
I am transitioning to Pension right now & have been in a few times with varying results - usually required to go back again with something they've forgotten to ask you to bring. The best they did to me was put our assets into the system twice & then stopped our payments without notice!! Then it took some work to get them to believe it was THEIR stuff up! grrrr Other times, they treat you like an imbecile or as if your pension is coming out of their own pockets!
Like you, @kezmusc - I normally don't stir the pot - but I think they all know my phone number now! In 2010, When Keith was having his chemo & stuff, the radiology dept here lost one of his referrals (we turned up at the appointed time for the scan) and it wasn't there. So we just sat in the waiting room until it was done - 2hrs+ later, as they had to ring the specialist & get another one faxed thru. :(
