Small hiccup in treatment for me

Trying to see the up-side in the ridiculous.

What else can we do, I don't let myself dwell on it, I just get on with it.

So far I haven't had to have grommets so that is a bonus.  I am having to use Sudafed and a horrible tasting nasal spray.  I have 3 1/2 plus weeks to go so we have to keep everything crossed all that time and do the penguin walk that my ears are tuff as old boots and can hold out.

Lots of love to you and I hope you and the rest of my very special pink sisters are all doing the happy dance or if that is a bit too strenous then maybe smiling and singing a happy song. Happiness and wellness to us all.

Well done Tonya and thanks for turning that in to a positive for me.  Maybe my luck is turning.  We can always live in hope can't we, I always do most of the time.

Luckily I haven't had a lot of actual pain yet with my ears, they are just red with bubbles and some bleeding. Dr's are worried about it but nothing majorly bothering me in the chamber. They are taking me down and bringing me backup in the chamber extra slow now so hopefully that will help and get through.

I am not allowed to take anything in to the mono chamber except the water bottle they give me so can't imagine them allowing anything else but worth asking I suppose.

I am sure Dr Gorgeous not looking at wanting his pretty neck rung or get some choice words that Paula will print out for me should I need them. :-)

I think of you often Tonya.  How is your mum going?

I always try and remember my friends saying when things seem insurmountable, and they often do. "This too shall pass". I know its hard to believe, but hopefully soon your time in your glass chamber will be over. I think you are so brave doing that every day. I do hope your ears behave. If they don't I will print out the choice words for you to tell Mr good looking ;) Hugs Paula :)

Thank you girls for all your wonderful wishes, smiles and BFK's and I will even take your choice words for me Paula. (saves me saying them).

I have asked myself recently have I broken a mirror, seen a crow,  walked under a ladder,stepped on cracks in the pavement, crossed the path of a black cat, opened an umbrella inside and all the other superstitious possibilities as my bloody luck needs to change soon I reckon......

I went to my appt with ENT specialist today walking miles in the pouring rain(must have left that umbrella at home inside) parking was attrocious of course as at any hospital.  I saw a "very cute doctor" and he had a nice bedside manner as well.  So that made for a change for me from my bald, bombastic and chauvinistic chemo onco we all know about girls.  Anyway digressing.  He looks in my ears, mmmmmm yes mmmmmmm yes.  Please wait and I will be back in a minute after I speak to my chief.  I tell ya if he wasn't so good looking I wouldn't have still been sitting waitng when he returned.  He returns to tell me they don't wish to cause any more trauma to my ears at the moment but would rather see how I go as they are a bit not so wonderful but not too bad.  So he rang the sleeping beauty chamber and they could fit me in for a session so I have only managed to miss one session that I will need to catch up at the tail end of my treatment.  

My fear is what happens if on Monday after sleeping beauty has had her treatment they go oh no dear we need to send you back to the ENT.  Let me tell ya if that happens I will be getting hold of that luvly looking ENT specialists neck and saying do these bloody grommets right hear and now and I am sick of stuffin around.  That might make him stand up and take note I think.

If I can get all my luvly pink sisters to keep their lil pink fingers crossed for me for the next 5 weeks and 1 day to make sure that sleeping beauties precious lil ears behave themselves I will be truly grateful and if that doesn't work then I will know someone stuck a ladder in front of me without me noticing and  I walked under it or that bloody pesky cat that keeps running across the road in front of me changed colours one night without me realising.

I have also noticed I get every bloomin orange light on my travels now so if that isn't a sign I don't know what is.

Do you know any good luck chants I can start saying that might change my luck somehow girls.

No I haven't been drinking but this is driving me to drink I reckon.

Isn't it always the way with medical stuff - you go in with one thing and come away with a few other complaints you never knew you had.Well darl,sounds like 2 steps forward ,one step back.You'll have to start charging tickets for sightings of the alien boob.I hope the ear thing is sorted out quickly for you so the snow white treatment can resume.I had coffee with Chris today and she filled me in on your rare diagnosis.You must be beyond"way over it "by now you poor love.Thinking of you Mich and sending you hugs and BFKs.
