Sloshing boob!

Hi ladies
I had a  lumpectomy and sentinel node biopsy last Wednesday and am still in hospital as I am still draining too much to remove the drain according to my surgeon. When I walk or turn over etc in bed my boob is sloshing with all the fluid in there. Is that normal? I will ask the surgeon on Monday but don't want to look like a galoot if it is supposed to happen. It's quite off putting I can tell you. I ignored it for a while because I thought it was the fluid in the drain making the noise when I moved but then tonight it happened just after the nurse had emptied the drain so of course that alerted me lol. Should I tell her or is that a normal thing to happen while drain is still in? Thanks xx Lesley

  • Tell them everything. Yes, the sloshing thing happens -- it's revolting--but don't filter the information you give the people treating you. There may be nothing they can do, but they need to be informed.
