Skin Breakout

My entire body has broken out in all these blemishes, sun spots and age spots. My arms and hands are severely burnt from the chemo and so are very sore, itchy and skin peeling. Rang oncologist and said that he will lower the dose of the next chemo but offered no remedy to treat....just have to endure and it will get better...panadol and sorbolene.....this is just bullshit....its not a matter of having chemo, thats the easy part, its all the side effects and how it makes you feel...really over it. 4th chemo coming up next week. Don't get me wrong, i'm usually very positive and upbeat but this just gets me down.

  • Breast care nurse said to be careful about what creams to put on and just to go with sorbolene, apparently have to ride it out....i just think got enough to deal with and I'm a keen knitter and at moment can't do anything without pain....but shouldn't complain, there is probably others worze off than me.
  • Hey @Jenv, sorry to hear the tough time you're going through. Chemo just sucks from start to finish. Sometimes staying positive isn't always doable . Can you maybe ring the chemo nurses for help or do you have a breast care nurse. It's fine isn't it for the oncologist to say just put up with it, but it's not them going through this Crap.
