Silicon gel during Rx

Hi, haven't heard anything about silicon gel. Sounds interesting. There have been other posts about a product, I think called Mepitel. Try looking under the radiotherapy subject heading for posts. I'll also have a look.
The posts have all been very positive about it. I have 9 of 30 sessions to go. Where I'm having treatment don't want me to use anything but what they provide, cream/ointment wise.
Hope someone comes up with some answers.
