Show us your nuts! (Nude nuts that is...)

Gosh we're special arnt we?? lol, I know about the Dr thing, I also have basilar artery migraines, looks like i have a stroke when one comes along, not often, can be induced by foods, especially if its full of MSG ( flavour enhancers) so im good to take out to dinner, so you know what NOT to eat!  I seem to have a migraine attack on the last bag of chemo, Im not sure if its the epirubison that brings it on 1st then the last bag enhances it, but anyway, on my 1st lot, i "stroked", hubby was out getting his lunch, i had about 30 Drs all around me, about to pump more drugs into me when hubby came in and stopped them! He said she does this, and thats why she wears the Med bracelet! He explained to give me oxygen, and watch... within 3 minutes i came to. A roller door collapsed on my head 18yrs ago, u was unlucky to walk under it at the time :( Took about 3 years before they diagnosed that, i was treated for all sorts of things, epilepsy, diabetes, psycosis!! hahahaha, a simple MRI scan showed the artery narrowed, on the day, the hospital sent me home with concussion and an egg on my head! I almost sued them! But... i deal with it, and funny enough, before my breast and cancer was removed, i was having alot of attacks, but now, ive had 2 in 3 months. I have no spleen due to car accident at 23, so my immune systems a worry, but i eat alot of good vegies, garlic, chilli and i dont smoke, or drink, i use to love my jim beam, but i dont miss it now.

Life for us can never be simple, can it! What doesnt kill us makes us stronger, so they say. Have you got a 'pattern' yet? mines 7 days of being ill after chemo, then 7 days of feeling fabulous!! then 7 days of up and down, aches, pains, bowl changes, dry skin, but two days before my next bout, im perfect again! Its all a roller coaster, i hate roller coasters! But as long as we can vent here its good. I go to a cancer support group here, 1st monday of the month, mixed company of ppl and cancers, nice afternoon snax we take and we have speakers, or entertainment. Im a singer/guitarist, and now my arms back to 'normal', Im playing for them next month. Im pretty much the youngest (47), so i have to find an oldie but a goodie, as im sure they dont want Nirvana, or Metallica in their ears! hahahahaha ;)

oh yeah, and im on SOMAC for the swallowing thing, one tab before breaky and its good. If i over indulge ( second helping of dinner) I'll get reflux usually when i go to bed, so its my own fault, lol. And yes my head  gets hot also, so i just go nakey to the shops, doesnt bother me anymore, it is what it is. I love the feel of the wind through my .... on my scalp as i drive with the window down on a warm day :) hehe so many benefits to being bald;)

I love Lakes Entrance, a LOVELY part of the world. Like I said below I lived in Mirboo North for about 10 years growing up (inland between Morwell and Phillip Islnad, near Leongatha etc) and now live in Canberra (for about 15 years), but I go through Lakes Entrance every time I go back to visit famil and ALWAYS stop and have a break, lunch (or whatever) and go for a walk along the fishing boarts and the water.

My sister lives in Ararat, so know Ballarat pretty well too, as I got through Ballarat to visit my sister (unless I go from Warrnambool, where my brother lives, but then I usually go through Ballarat - coming on going at least).

It is a VERY small world itsn't it <LOL> :-)

A few friends sing that to me, I tell them im more like Sigourney Weaver in ALIEN 2! lol... Ive done the leggings, long tops and boots too, some reason, it looks right! Im down 12 kilo's now, glad i didnt throw out my fave jeans! I noticed prior to diagnoses i gained weight quickly, for about 3-5 months, i put it on. I didnt alter my eating, if anything it was summer months and i ate less, and walked and cycled alot more. My body changed. Maybe it was growing then,( cancer) and my body was preparing me to cope with all the surgeries etc, and the chemo ( vomits). But, at 78kg now, ( 5ft-6), I feel alot better!  :) and im going nude most days :)

Hi Allison, I live in lovely Lakes Entrance, been here about 2.3yrs now, and love it!!! I was in Ballarat for 20 years, so good sea-change. Paynsville is also lovely, i like the houses along the channel. All the best for you too hun, been to Perth and Kalgoorlie several times, and plan a big road trip when Im all better!

Yeah I was relieved to find out I had a pretty good shaped head, like you said there is NO way to tell, before hand.

I tend to wear stud earrings more than anything and find dangly ones are often annoying, I do have a couple fo pair though and mught try them.

All I need to do now is loose a little weight, so that the face and shin is a littel thinner (put on weight in the last few years and more since my surgery in February which left me bed ridden for about 4-6 weeks (complications caused by my pre existing conditions).

I fins I do tend to wear a little make up now (THANK YOU Look Good Fell Better workshops) when going out, to draw attention to that and not my bald head and to make myself feel a little more feminine.

Thanks for the kind words, it helps, to know that you don't look bad (not that we have any choice in the matter <LOL>) and like I said I don't mind the look myself, I haven't had any issues with being almost bald yet, and I have no problems going out in public like this without a hat, and I feel that if people stare at me (and a coupld have) that theya re the ones with the problem NOT ME. Sometimes my head gets really hot (you can see in the photos, I am sweating a bit).

Looks great Shaz!  Were you relieved to find that you had a good shaped head?  There's no telling what the head's going to look like is there?

Earrings are great, long dangly ones.  It's hard to describe but I guess it's like the feeling of the sense of identity that having hair gives you.  I bought a whole heap of them online.  Granted there's really only one pair I actually wear, but it's nice to feel feminine again!
