Well I got my buzz cut yesterday. my hair is now 8mm long but looks shorter because my hair is so fine it doesn't stick out, but it sort of lays next to my haead. I actually don't mind it. Kind of feels funny and looks OK and thank goodness no more tying myself in knots and choking on my below shoulder length hair. There was a delay in the plans, because I spent 11 hours yesterday in the ER with suspected pneumonia or gallstones, after lots and lots of tests they aren't 100% sure what it is but the only thing that showed up on the tests was anemia (expected due to the chemo) and some "gunk" in my lower right lung - which they think is a lower lung infection that is beginning to clear (I had an upper lung infection for a week and have been on oral antibiotics which I finished yesterday and they gave me another 5 day course, to make sure the infection dies). My neutrophil count was good, as were all of my other immune cells.
So we got to it last night instead and I am HAPPY, it feels so much better, it SO much neater and I am not leaving great handfuls of hair in trails behind me where ever I go.
I also have the brazillian by face washer occuring <LOL> haven't notice the arm and leg hair (although it is not growing very fast, so not having to shave etc very often) or eyebrows and eyelashes yet, but it is early days for me.
Photo(s)to come - didn't take any yet, because I was so exhausted yesterday - went to the ER at 4am (after the community nurses who I called told me I had to) with only 1 hrs sleep and got maybe 1-2 hours sleep in the 11 hours I was there, that coupled with my chemo fatigue, I could barely keep my eyes open, for most of the day. night, but not get any/ much sleep in the ER.
