Normally no, but mine lasted for 12 months and only stopped after surgery. The good news is that massage can reduce it. Depends how big it is, mine was large and stopped me from being fitted for a prosthesis which was a real nuisance as I was well and truly over pads by then. Your body is trying to help healing but sometimes that process carries on far longer than is necessary or beneficial. What you do depends on how much trouble it is causing. If none or not much, then perhaps leave it alone - but otherwise you may need some advice - breast care nurse would be good.
