Sending radiant beams of sunshine...

Day 7 - after round six.

Nice and chilly here in Sydney today! But at least the sun is shining....Hopefully everyone gets a chance to dry out and clean up after the storms...

So sad to see the devastation caused by Mother Nature....So sad to see all of my favourite shops in Picton totally destroyed...so sad for people who have lost their homes and possessions....But inspiring to see everyone helping each other, physically and mentally.....It's in times like this you really see the true spirit of humanity...of community...of love.....We are all the same, no matter colour or creed, we all bleed the same, we all hurt the same,,,,,,, We are human and it's in our nature to help others.....even when our own world is in turmoil.

When you go through something that devastates your world, be it illness, accident, injury.....it's hard to see the light in the darkness.....to find the sunshine.....

Sunshine is a powerful force...it can penetrate the darkest sky ....it washes over our bodies....warms us from within....soothes the soul.....

So, as I sit writing this post, still sore, still dealing with the side effects of chemo....I send out SUNSHINE.....radiant beams of sunshine to each and everyone of you....for recovery and strength to rebuild......

  • Hi Scorpionqueen,

Agree totally about the sadness of Picton, but at least it has been declared a natural disaster so some relief will be available for the shopkeepers and residents. Have never seen the water so high there.

I think how fantastic are the SES and the volunteers (and of course all emergency services). Truly uplifting ;-)

Hoping that the sunshine is likewise soothing and helping you to heal after your last round of chemo.

    All the best

    Xx Cath
