scan anxiety

It was that time again, after having a  bone scan, ct of  the brain, and blood test then off to the oncologist.  I wasn't feeling at all confident.  Scan anxiety really kicked in.  I still had been having dizzy turns and feeling light headed.  Well the good news was bone scan still stable, nothing showed up abnormal on the brain scan and my tumor markers were only up slightly,  which my oncologist was happy about. I am going to have a MRI of my head just to find out why I'm feeling dizzy. It may be something simple like my BP medication.  (my diagnosis ). All up I am happy with the results and when they can fix my stabilizer, I won't feel like I'm all at sea.

  • Hi Wendy

so happy your results thus far have been positive. I too was having problems with dizziness and losing my balance. Turns out that chemo has damaged part of my vestibular system in my ears. I've had physio which has helped immensely but what I have been left with will most likely be permanent now. The physio has been able to give me strategies for dealing with it. Hopefully your dizziness will be something simple like this. Scan times are an anxious time so maybe plan something nice to help you relax once they are over and done with. Good luck. Karen xox

  • Good to hear your results are good, hopefully they can fix your stabiizer

  • Could be simple bp meds but it pays to check properly just in case. Hopefully you will be sorted soon.
