As you know yesterday was my last radiotherapy treatment.......It was also my 50th birthday!.....the rad girls sang happy birthday and there were hugs and tears.....they gave me a little cactus plant ...

What a beautiful gesture Kath! But I guess I wouldn't have expected anyhting less from you!....My unit only just got them a few months ago, so like you chemo finished without much fuss, that's wahy I was so determined to ring that bell after rads.....It's like shouting to the heavens when you ring that bell! <3 Your kind donation will help others (and yourself) release that sigh of relief for all the world to hear for many years to come.....what a beautiful person you are Xxprimek said:My unit doesn't have a bell. My last chemo was such an anticlimax, I baked a cake...and they just cut it up out the back...I'd planned to cut it myself as the celebration . ..but I guess unless you've been through it...you just can't appreciate it. Even though I'm still on herceptin...the completion of each part is significant. Well done you . ..you're an inspiration...and such an incredible birthday present.
