Results Day today

The  drains came out yesterday & today i have an appointment to get the results from the surgery last Wednesday. 

I am feeling a little nervous as 1 of the nurses said it would be 2 weeks to get the results unless they felt the need to call me sooner. When I was discharged last Thursday the DR I saw wanted me to go for a CT scan of the spleen, but as my GP had already sent me for an U/S of the abdomen in January I was able to get hubby to bring the results in, my GP had already informed me about the spleen hematoma's but as I was having the bone scan & CT scan pre mastectomy said it would be picked up by the surgeon.

I am trying to take it hour by hour 1 day at a time.

    I was told 2 weeks to results as well. The trouble is I wasn't expecting it to be anything bad at all after they had bolstered me up and said they got it early.

    The week later thinking I was just getting a check up of the surgical site they dropped the bombshell the results are in and we've booked you in for more surgery. Forewarned is forearmed, I wish I had been as I mentally lost it for about a week.

    Hard not to let the brain go into overdrive, whatever your news you will deal with it, just loke you've done so far, it's amazing where our inner strength comes from sometimes. Regards adean

    Yes Eileen, you do end up taking it hour by hour...especially while recovering....the day take many turns..

    I'm glad you don't have those blasted drains in anymore! They're such a hindrance......As far as results are concerned its hard not to over think...take some deep breaths..

    Hoping they're all good news.
