Results back

Well my I got my results yesterday and I'm relieved to say I got very good news! I'm over the moon and have been celebrating ever since! :-)

Lung tumours have reduced in size and number, no new lesions in bones, and no new growths or spread anywhere in my body that they can detect! Yipee!

I'm so relieved! While they classify my disease as "stable" at the moment, despite there being some regression, I'll take that! Stable is fantastic as far as I'm concerned! I just didnt want anything new appearing...that was my wish!

As far as my bones go, apparently it's difficult to detect on the scan if any healing has taken place, but that's ok...for now they do know that there is no new 'activity', so that's the main thing!

Its taken me a while to realise that this disease is so unpredictable and 'flexible'....one lot of results can be good...the next not so good...the next better. Treatments can remain the same or change to suit any changes that occur. It's all so hard to read at times....but for now I'm just happy to have finally got some good news and be alive! ?

Hi Jo, yes I was due for some good news for a change, wasn't I? It was 'touch and go' for a while there, but for now I have overcome the "critical urgency for a response"! The chemo, herceptin and denosumab are doing their jobs, and it's a wonderful feeling, as well as a relief! Celeste?

Thank you Mich, I was so pleased..."stable" is brilliant for me as I only have slight bone pain in my back now and then (like most of us do when we hit our 40's..lol), and no lung symptoms at all. Am waiting for more rain in SA so that I can get out on my daughter's giant trampoline and dance in the rain! Celeste?
