Results after the Mastectomy

I had the mastectomy & SNB on the 10th & had to go to the hospital yesterday for the results, it was news that I did not want to hear.

The lymph node was positive so I now have to see the oncologist on the 2nd March & have a full axilliary clearance on the 9th.

Yesterday I felt like I had been kicked in the teeth, I slept well considering the news & today is a new day so I am wide awake & will continue to take this hour by hour & kick the bloody thing to boot.

Thinking of you all with Love, hugs & prayers.

Eileen

  • So sorry you have to go through this.... sending much love and comforting hugs ??

  • Eileen glad to hear your positivity of kicking that bugger out of this world, but do remember it's ok to cry as well it's a raw deal . We can't always be the super women it's ok sometimes to be vulnerable. One foot after the other and you will bea veteran of 4 years like me. Lol Regards adean

  • Dear Eileen.  I feel your pain in reading this post.  I had that very same news just over a year ago when I had positive lymph nodes and had to go back for a lymph clearance surgery.  It is so hard to receive scary news hey but what I want to encourage you with is that it is just another bump in the road that you will get over.  You will conquer this challenge one day at a time and before you know it, you will look back and see how far you have come.  You are in the best hands, you have the best medicine and qualified surgeons to deal with this and the most important thing is, it was found so it can be dealt with.  I know it doesn't make it easier, but you are not alone.  So many women have gone through these exact same challenges and have come out on the other end to cheer us on and encourage us along the way.  I am cheering you on and sending you a massive virtual hug.  Hang in there, chin up, you've got this!!

    Love Rene

  • Sorry to hear about your news Eileen...but now you know what you're dealing with you can gab it by the horns so to speak!

Wishing you all the best with all of your surgery and treatments...

    stay strong...

  • So sorry to hear your bad news Eileen it sounds like you are in for a rough time. It appears to me from this experience we are all resilient beings through necessity, your strength to get through to the end this will build over time, at the moment all you need is the strength to get through each day. Take care of yourself.

    Love & luck

  • Must have missed a call from the oncologist yesterday as i have a message with an appointment for the 2nd March. I was not expecting to hear from him until after surgery.
