Relief........

Hi all you lovely pink ladies out there!  Well after 2 weeks of being totally paranoid about the lump I thought i'd found....today my mind was put to rest by 3 dr's 1..as my hubby would say is still shitting yellow,  but really lovely though he checked it and then went and got his boss which kind of freaked me out thinking somethings wrong...but the senior dr came in had a feel & said with a slight smile....that  lump is one of your ribs....I was so relieved!  So then they went & got my surgoen to come in and verify what the dr's had just told me & to say hello.....he said I could come back in 6 months time even though I already had a 3 monthly appointment with him in April, he must have taken one look at me and said if your more comfortable coming to see me in April so be it & I was pleased with that :-)   I hope the worry & anxiety gets better with time instead of having it in my mind as soon as I a waken in the mornings...Any way things are ok for now until my date is set for my nipple recon on my new boobs which are going really good they & my tummy have healed really well & you'd never know my boobs were not real with bra & top on!  ok cheery-by for now.

Brightest blessings, Susan  xxx

  • Hi Susan,

I do wonder if the paranoia will ever go away.  Today I visited my oncologist for my first six month checkup and was sooo relieved when she told me that the lump I had found under my other arm was in fact a blocked hair follicle or a blind pimple.  How embarrassing but what a relief!.  I guess in time we will become less paranoid or at least I hope so. I must say I am very happy being under the care of my oncologist and my surgeon,  If I was under the care of my GP I really would be paranoid about every little thing.  Hopefully the further away we get from our original diagnosis the easier it will be and we will start to focus on the best things in life.
