Recently diagnosed

Hi Sally,

i hope that all went well with the surgery.  My story is the same as yours, even to the age, except that my tumour was nine centimetres.  I also had the other breast reduced at the same time, as I was large-breasted.  For medical reasons, my only implant option was a silicone one.  My surgery was two and a half weeks ago, and I was in hospital for eight days.  I am still strapped up tightly, on painkillers, and still sleeping on my back, but improvement is steady.  I can't lift anything heavy, of course, but I am pleased with my progress.  I hope that this gives you some idea of your urn likely progress.  It is great to realise that the cancer has been taken away.  The best of luck with your recovery.??????
