Radiotherapy and Lymphodema Sleeve
Hi everyone. I'm just after some advice. I'm starting Radiotherapy in 2 weeks and was advised to wear my Lymphodema sleeve during treatment to help reduce the risk of lymphodema as I've had an axillar...
I wish I'd been advised to wear one back in 2012 when I had my radiation treatment as that was the start of my arm being affected by lymphodema, so I think if it's advised it would be a great idea to wear it as much as possible throughout each day of treatment. Doing self-massages each day also helps - if you're not sure how to do that then see a lymphodema therapist / physio or check out some of the videos on YouTube. Best wishes for your radiation treatment and remember to keep the moisturiser up on the areas affected as well as on your arm xx
