Radiation burns

I think you should be seeing your radiation/onc team more often-like every few days if your chest is weeping and under arm infected. If there's no improvement after 2 weeks on antibiotics then maybe you need a different one. Perhaps your GP can take a swab of the infection and send it off. I think you have to be careful about what you put on an open/cracked/infected area - not creams etc. Your team should be advising you Vicki - make a big noise! In the meantime maybe a warm salt bath might be soothing.It also has a mild antiseptic effect.It's natural and can't hurt but check with your nurse. I hope you are on the mend soon cos it's very depressing when your recovery is so delayed.
