Radiation....
Hi all,
Didn't want to add this to the other post I made, as it is a totally different subject... so I am sorry if I should of lol...anyway next Friday the 5th I have my first appointment with the Radiation Onco, to discuss radiation therapy, am i able to get some others views please, as I dont understand why I would really need to have Radiation after having the Chemo, I understood the Chemo bit, so if any molecule of cancer broke off in the op the Chemo would kill it before it could adhere and start to grow... but as for the radiation I can not fathom, as I had a couple of nodes taken out when i had my Mastectomy,was called back saying that there was cancer there, so had to have another operation to remove more nodes, but it was only the first lot that they took out that was infected apparently only the gate keeper, but was almost the same size as the actual breast tumour itself, so was told that 1 out of 11 was cancerous, pretty good odds i think lol....anyway my thought with radiation is it is in a localised spot, i have no nodes left, and wouldn't the Chemo kill what was already floating around in my body... is there a point to Radiation or not...Any advice give much appreciated and will not be taken as gospel...just want to hear others stories etc....
